What is Computex? Well, to keep it simple, it's an incredibly large technology trade show where manufacturers show new products and concepts to the public. Historically, you shouldn't expect actual product launches, but you can expect details about upcoming product launches. This year was no different and beyond the normal innovations (thinking more RGB stuff), we got new product details from both AMD and Intel.

Intel will be hitting its 50th anniversary on July 18th and to commemorate this special occasion, it has decided to create an Anniversary Edition i7-8086K processor in limited quantities. Along with this launch, Intel has created a sweepstake for a chance to win your very own!

In a large scale assault, news and hardware communities have spoken up about NVIDIA's GeForce Partner Program (GPP).  NVIDIA is recognized the outreach and decided to dismantle and burn the program entirely. Some of the damage has already been done and Add-In-Board partners already have new IP for Radeon graphics.

Intel has confirmed that Jim Keller has joined their ranks.  He will lead chip design for Intel's future efforts in the CPU market space.

In early March 2018, NVIDIA launched GPP to further push anti-competitive efforts.  The new program is pushing add-in-board partners to hand over their branding to NVIDIA exclusive graphics.

AMD officially launched their second generation Zen based processors codenamed "Pinnacle Ridge" as the successor to the popular "Summit Ridge" first generation.  This includes the new Ryzen 7 2700(X) and Ryzen 5 2600(X) series of processors.  We provide the new specs on these processors and some information on utilizing the 3XX series motherboards from first generation Ryzen CPUs.

ASRock has stormed into the GPU market with a new brand called Phantom Gaming. They are launching their own version of the Polaris family of chips: RX 580, 570, 560, and 550.

Microsoft has announced support for Radeon FreeSync technology with Xbox One X and Xbox One S models.  Enabling smooth and tear-free game play for console users!

AMD has has finally launched their new APUs, codenamed Rave Ridge which provides both Vega and Ryzen archtiectures.  These new APUs just might be the gaming price/performance hero we needed!
